Overview
Your flower curing and storage deserve packaging that keeps them fresh and makes them stand out. Our grove-style mylar bags combine high-barrier films with practical details like terpene-friendly barrier films and humidity control compatible, and premium printing that turns every bag into a mini billboard.
Orders start at just 100 units, so you can test a new flavor, strain or product without committing to a warehouse full of stock. Every order includes free artwork checks and a digital proof.
Grove is referenced here to describe a style or strain that customers search for. Mylar Bags NYC is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand of that name; we print our own custom bags in a similar style.
Packaging is part of the product. For flower curing and storage, the bag controls freshness, aroma and shelf life, and it's often the first thing a customer touches. Well-made grove-style mylar bags reduce returns and waste, look great in photos and on shelves, and give you space for your story, usage tips and required information.

Materials
The right film depends on what you’re packing, how long it needs to stay fresh and where it’s sold.
- PET / AL / PE laminatethe classic Mylar structure, with an aluminum layer that blocks light, oxygen and moisture.
- Metallized PETa lighter, cost-effective metallic barrier.
- Kraft paper laminatea natural look outside with a foil barrier inside.
- Clear PET / PEhigh-clarity film for showing the product.
Printing and finishes
We print grove-style mylar bags with digital or rotogravure printing, depending on quantity. Digital is ideal for short runs and many designs; rotogravure gives the lowest unit cost on large runs.
Finishes include matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination, spot gloss, metallic and holographic films, white ink underprinting on clear and foil films, and clear windows in custom shapes.
Design ideas
Ideas that work especially well for flower curing and storage:
- Print curing guidance.
- Use minimal branding.
- Add a window.
- Keep it compliant.
Not sure where to start? Tell us what you're packing, the fill weight and where it's sold, and we'll recommend a size, film and finish in your free quote. Our most requested sizes for grove-style mylar bags are 1 gram (3 x 4 in), 3.5 gram (eighth) (4 x 6 in) and 7 gram (quarter) (5 x 8 in). Smaller sizes suit samples and trial packs, the middle size usually fits your core product, and larger sizes work for family packs, bulk and wholesale. Because density varies, we always recommend testing your actual fill before printing. Fill grove-style mylar bags through the top before sealing, leaving at least 1 inch above the zipper. For the strongest closure, use an impulse or band heat sealer set to the temperature recommended for your film. If you're using oxygen absorbers or desiccants, add them just before sealing, and store finished bags away from direct sunlight and heat.
Protection and performance
Flexible packaging has to protect against oxygen, moisture, light and punctures. For grove-style mylar bags, we usually recommend terpene-friendly barrier films and humidity control compatible, with a film thickness matched to the weight and shape of your flower curing and storage. Sharp or heavy products may need a thicker gauge; aromatic products need a high-barrier, smell-resistant structure. Tell us what you're packing and we'll suggest the right build. Cannabis packaging rules vary by state. Many states require certified child-resistant closures, opaque packaging, a universal THC symbol, warning statements and labels that don't appeal to children. We can supply child-resistant zippers and leave space for every required panel, but confirm your state's current rules with your compliance team before approving artwork.
- Terpene-friendly barrier films: blocks oxygen, moisture and light to extend shelf life.
- Humidity control compatible: adds practical value during filling, display and use.
- Zippers: lets customers reopen and reseal the bag, keeping contents fresh.

Sustainability is increasingly important to shoppers. Recyclable, compostable and kraft-look structures are available, and we can print a clear end-of-life message on every bag.
